This bug spray is more than just a repellent. One application lasts two weeks or more when applied to clothing. Permethrin is a contact insecticide. It kills ticks, mosquitoes, or other insects when it comes in contact with them. It is used on clothing and materials and binds to the fabric creating a protective barrier against disease carrying insects. Do not spray on skin. Permethrin Insect Repellent is so effective in killing and repelling ticks and mosquitoes it is used by U.S. Military personnel in the most heavily infested conditions. Use Permethrin Insect Repellent on clothing surfaces per label directions combined with Jungle Formula Insect Repellent (4501) on exposed skin surfaces to provide the ultimate protective barrier against biting, disease carrying insects.

Permethrin Insect Repellent is used as follows: Treat outer surfaces of each outfit, front and back for 60 seconds each and allow to dry for at least 2 hours. (A complete outfit consists of shirt, trousers, and socks). Pay particular attention to socks, trousers cuffs, and shirt cuffs. One can will treat two complete outfits. Do not retreat clothing more than once every two weeks.
