Victor’s Snake-A-Way. A dry granular mixture (7% napthalene & 28% sulphur) which is safe and easy to apply by lightly sprinkling around homes, cabins, trailer, garages, tents, pools, etc. to keep those areas snake free. One 4 lb resealable shaker bag will protect approximately 1/2 acre. Snake-A-Way temporarily disrupts a snake’s Jacobsen’s organ, which it uses to detect important environmental stimuli. When this kind of disruption occurs, snakes quickly retreat in search of fresh air. Just sprinkle in bands around the area you want to protect. For rattlesnakes, bands should be 8-12″ wide. For garter snakes, bands can be 4-5″ wide.
