Founded in 1971 by Joe and Dean Steeley in their Birmingham garage, Rainbow Technology began as a humble family-run chemical start-up. Since then, Rainbow has grown into a leading provider of specialty products for the telecommunications, electric power, and utility markets. Through decades of steady expansion, Rainbow now offers one of the most comprehensive lines of chemical solutions and safety tools tailored to these critical industries.

Rainbow Technology’s mission is to market specialty products and services to the utility and industrial markets, as well as the Shooting Sports Industry (SSI) nationally and internationally. Rainbow is an important vendor to the telecommunications, electric power, other key utilities, OEM’s, contractors, and distributors to these markets. Rainbow seeks niche products and services while continuing to focus on traditional products. Rainbow sells through online stores as well as through traditional methods.
