Our History
October 6th, 1971
Joe and Dean Steeley originated a chemical start-up business in Birmingham, Alabama, which later became Rainbow Technology Corporation. The start-up business was initially operated out of their garage with the assistance of their children. Over time and with considerable effort, the company slowly, but steadily developed a broad range of products serving the telecommunications, electric power, utilities, OEM’s, and contractors.
Today
Rainbow Technology has the broadest and most extensive line of chemical products, designed specifically and exclusively for these critical markets. Additionally, Rainbow also functions as a distributor for safety items used by these utility markets. Rainbow continues to focus on these critical markets nationally and internationally while still expanding its extensive product line.
Since 2016, Rainbow, under the brand Rangestore.net, has supplied the shooting sports industry with our flagship shooting range product Steel Target Paint® as well as other items.
In 2023, Rainbow Technology went under new ownership with the next generation of family. We still remain a private, woman-owned & operated business, operating on the principles of outstanding customer service and developing a world class quality product line.
